Kids’ pamper parties have become a popular choice for birthdays and celebrations. They are fun, give children time to relax with their friends and can offer a calmer alternative to a noisy or busy party.
However, not every product used at a pamper party will have been created specifically for children. Some parties may use skincare designed for adults, containing synthetic fragrances, alcohol, artificial colours or strong active ingredients that young skin simply does not need.
A kids’ pamper party should feel special and grown-up without becoming a miniature adult skincare routine.

What should you ask before booking a kids’ pamper party?
A good pamper-party provider should be happy to tell you exactly what will be applied to your child’s skin and how the products will be used.
Before booking, I would ask:
What face masks and skincare products will you use?
Have the products been created specifically for children?
What age are the products suitable for?
Can I see the complete ingredients list before the party?
Do the products contain synthetic fragrances, alcohol, artificial colours or strong active ingredients?
What happens if a child has sensitive or eczema-prone skin?
If asking what will be put on your child’s face feels awkward, remember that you are not being difficult. You are being their parent.
I prefer children’s skincare with a short ingredients list and without unnecessary adult skincare ingredients. Natural does not automatically mean suitable for every child, so it is still important to check the ingredients and follow the product instructions.
Why I created the Samantha Lily Kids’ Face Mask
I created the Samantha Lily Kids’ Face Mask because children wanted the fun of a pamper party, but I did not believe they needed products developed for adult skincare routines.
They are not looking for a 12-step evening routine.
Every ingredient in our face mask is 100% organic. We use raw cacao powder, organic oats, organic milk powder and organic coconut milk. Yes, that’s it!
Every ingredient has a benefit for the skin, including dry and eczema-prone skin. When I developed the mask, I even made sure that every ingredient was 100% edible because, let’s face it, when a young child is presented with a chocolate face mask, they may be tempted to lick it, and that’s absolutely fine!
The mask comes as a dry powder and is mixed with water when needed. This makes it easy for parents and party organisers to prepare an individual portion for each child.

How to create a kids’ pamper party at home
You do not need to hire a professional company to create a lovely kids’ pamper party at home, although I cannot promise your bathroom will remain tidy!
What you will need
A face mask created for children (here)
One clean bowl for each child
Individual applicators or spoons (or let them use their fingers!)
Soft face cloths
Small mirrors
Towels
Soft spa headbands
Cucumber slices for the full pamper-party experience
A quiet activity for while the masks are on
Setting up your pamper party
Check for allergies and sensitivities before the party.
Apply a thin layer, avoiding the eyes and mouth.
Leave it on for the time stated in the instructions.
Remove it gently using warm water and a clean, soft cloth.
Stop immediately if a child experiences discomfort or irritation.
You could add music, crafts, party games, mini manicures or a photo area. Fluffy robes and matching headbands are optional.
